Sound match

Sound Match

I have not posted anything in a while as we just moved to a new house. Most of our stuff was in boxes and we are just opening one by one. My son has been waiting to get started.

Things needed for this activity:
- 8 small empty similar looking bottles
- 2 paint colors
- paint brush
- rice, pebbles, toothpicks, coins

Thanks to the grandparents, we collected a whole bunch of medicine bottles for this craft.

Start by painting half of them one color and the other half a different color. Paint only the inside. We painted ours red and blue.

We turned them upside down to let them dry evenly.

Once the paint was dry, my son added different ingredients in the bottles. Each of the red and blue bottles had one ingredient. Close all the caps. So we had a pair of each ingredient.

Now the game starts. The objective is to take one red bottle and shake it, and find the matching blue bottle just by listening to the sound. Do the same with all four bottles and find the correct match.

We kept changing the ingredients and played with it over and over again.

Even my one year old like playing with it as a rattle. The good thing about medicine bottle is the kids cannot open them, they are child proof. You can keep changing the stuff inside and keep reusing them.
