Number Wheel

Number Wheel

We got a nice numbers puzzle for my son, but he was just matching the puzzle by its shape, he did not get the point of numbers or counting. So we made this easy tool.

Things needing for this activity:
-Small cardboard
-Sharpie
-clothespin

First, draw a circle on the cardboard and cut it into a circle. Then divide the circle into 6 pies. Then take a Sharpie and make thick dots, representing 0 to 5 like this.

Take 6 clothes pin and start and write numbers on them.

Now let the kids match the pin to the cardboard.

You can use the same board and pins and add more numbers on the back or put these dots in random order to make it more complex. We save these in a small zipper bag and reuse them often.
